About

stonkbox is a mystery box that pays out real stock. A box costs a fixed price in USDC and opens into a random slice of a Coinbase-issued tokenized stock on Base. The odds are published, the draw is verifiable, every payout is onchain. Buy one, open it, or give it to a friend.

What you are buying

A sealed NFT. Opening it pays a Coinbase-issued tokenized stock, one token per share, held by the contract itself and valued at market price the moment you open. Payouts are always in stock, or in USDC if no vault can cover the amount. Never zero.

A sealed box can be sent to anyone, that is the gift. Once opened it cannot move again: it stays as the receipt of what it contained.

Why the odds are different here

The average return is 80 % of the box price, and the contract refuses any curve below 75 %. The amount is drawn first, then the company among those whose vault can cover it. That order is the whole point: a box can never land on an empty vault.

Risks

This is not investment advice. A box can be worth more or less than you paid: the average is enforced onchain across many boxes, not promised for yours. Tokenized stock prices move with the real share price. A sealed box expires one year after purchase. Coinbase tokenized stocks are available to eligible non-US users only; by buying you confirm you may hold them where you live. Smart contracts carry risk. Never spend more than you can afford to lose.

Who builds this

stonkbox is built by Médhy Chabour, a product designer with years in gaming and crypto, who wanted a case opening that pays out something real. It is a side project, made for the fun of putting tokenized stocks in more hands. Questions, bugs or ideas are welcome on X.

How to check

Nothing here needs to be taken on trust. Randomness comes from Pyth Entropy, prices from Chainlink. The odds on the home page are read from the contract, and every purchase, open and payout is a public transaction.
